About the GSS Subsea Shear
The Genesis Subsea Shear is pressure-tested to operate at depths down to 10,000 feet for platform decommissioning, pipeline and piling cutting, and underwater steel cutting.
Available with 32-, 35- or 54-inch jaw openings, the GSS's exclusive, easy-to-shim AutoGuide system helps maintain blade tolerances by off-setting jaw deflection. This underwater cutting shear also features additional bearings and grease points at the cylinder ends to simplify maintenance and disassembly.
For additional corrosion protection and functionality, this underwater pipe cutting shear features:
- Anti-corrosion coated fasteners and critical surfaces, primer and paint
- Zinc anodes for galvanic corrosion protection
- Drain holes in the side and bottom plates for easy water drainage
